Out & Out has over 1,000 members. Our membership consists of men and women from various backgrounds, encompassing a diverse cross-section of age groups, education and employment backgrounds.

When you join Out & Out you are joining others who like yourself are interested in the great outdoors and sporting activities. Out & Out gives you the opportunity to enhance your social life with events like hiking, canoeing, camping, skiing, biking, movie nights and a host of other activities — all created especially for gay men and lesbians who are looking for an alternative to "the bars".

Although most of our members live in southern Ontario, we do have members living as far away as British Columbia, Alberta, New York and Texas.

Some of our members are completely out of the closet, while others are still private to many people in their lives about their sexual orientation. In this club, it doesn't matter which scenario applies to you. It is a non-threatening environment for single people or couples.

• Fill out an application form and mail it to the club address along with your cheque or money order (sorry no credit cards). Your newsletter and membership card will be mailed to you within 2 weeks.
• Or come to our next New Member's Night. At new member's nights, you can pay by cash, cheque or money order and you get your copy of the newsletter to take home with you.

What is the cost?     questions list

• The cost for an individual to join Out & Out is $35.00 for the first year.
• Membership is for 1 year.
• The annual renewal rate is currently $30.00.

What is "couple mailing"?     questions list

• Couple mailing is $70.00 for the first year.
• The annual renewal fee for couples is currently $60.00.
• Couple mailing is available to any 2 individuals living at the same address wishing to receive only one copy of the newsletter.

Will my name get on any mailing lists?     questions list

• Absolutely not. The Out & Out membership list is kept strictly confidential. It is not given to or shared with any other organizations.

Is my information kept confidential?     questions list

• YES! All information is strictly confidential.
• Membership lists are not even available to other club members.
• Trip leaders and steering committee members are given information only on a need to know basis.

I live at home, how are envelopes marked?     questions list

• The only marking on the envelopes is the Post Office Box return address. The club name does not appear on the outside of any of our mailings.

Do I have to sign the waiver form?     questions list

• Yes! Applications that are not signed will be returned.

What is the New Member's Night?     questions list

• This is an Open House/Information Night for members that joined recently and for potential members wishing to find out more about the club. Everyone is welcome, tell your friends. No reservations are required, just show up.
